Description

10″ Big Blue cartridge housing (sometimes know as Jumbo housing) complete with bracket and spanner. This filter housing is supplied with a 10″ Granular activated carbon cartridge.

To treat: chemicals and improve taste and odour.

Standard filters are a general purpose filter which contain Granular Activated Carbon media.

They are effective at reducing/removing: chemicals (including herbicides and pesticides) and chlorine to improve water taste and odour. Activated carbon filters remove/reduce many volatile organic chemicals (VOC), as well as benzene, trihalomethane (THM) compounds, radon, solvents and hundreds of other man-made chemicals found in tap water.

They are not designed for and not generally effective at removing metals or sediment.The filters require regular replacement as they will become exhausted after a time. This is dependent on water usage and the size/capacity of the filter unit. Change is normally recommended 6 monthly
