Description

Portable water filter is generally used by those who travel extensively or who are renting properties. Portable filters are available with different options of tap connectors to allow connection to the tap or, on its own, as a replacement if you already have the tap connections. Tap connections simply connect onto the existing tap without the need for any plumbing.

Before purchasing the tap connection please ensure your tap has a removable ½” aerator and ensure you have selected the correct connection for your tap. If you are unsure please contact us on (01805) 804 202.

Type: Standard

Standard (S) reduction/removal filters are a general purpose filter which use Granular Activated Carbon media. They are effective at reducing/removing chemicals (including herbicides and pesticides) and chlorine to improve water taste and odour.

Activated carbon filters remove/reduce many volatile organic chemicals (VOC), as well as benzene, trihalomethane (THM) compounds, radon, solvents and hundreds of other man-made chemicals found in tap water. They are not designed for and not generally effective at removing metals or sediment.

The filters require regular replacement as will become exhausted after a time, which is dependent on the size/capacity of the filter unit.
