Description
The 10 inch Big Blue sediment filter is available in 1, 5, 10 & 20 micron ratings and are approximately 4″ wide.
The sediment cartridges are designed to fit into the 10 inch Big Blue housings to remove sediment or in order to protect sensitive equipment such as Ultraviolet sterilisation systems.
The lifespan of the cartridges vary depending on water quality. If the micron rating or the filter is to small then the filter will clog up quickly if there is a lot of sediment.
Fitting multiple sediment filters and starting with a higher micron rating then reducing the micron rating on the second filter can help the lifespan of the cartridge.
If your sediment filters keep getting blocked quickly you could fit a larger sediment filter such as a 20 inch Big Blue Filter.
