Under Sink Replacement Water Filters

Replacement under sink water filters are designed to fit inline between the saddle valve and the tap. They are supplied with push fittings for easy DIY replacement.

Our filters are available in assorted sizes and contain a variety of filter media to remove different contaminants from your drinking water.

The model types are as follows

Codes ending in
SR – Standard.
HR – Heavy Metal Reduction
LR – Lime Scale Inhibitor

Standard models improve the taste and smell of the drinking water by removing the chlorine which is well known to give a nasty ‘swimming pool’ smell and taste. They are also effective against many other contaminates including many volatile organic chemicals (VOC), as well as benzene, trihalomethane (THM) compounds, radon, solvents and hundreds of other man-made chemicals that can be found in tap water.

The Heavy Metal Removal filters will combat everything the standard filters deal with. They also have the added benefit of removing a wide variety of heavy metals from the drinking water including lead, aluminium, fluoride & in most cases nitrates too.

Lime scale inhibitor filters are available in a 6 monthly replacement filter due to the types of media they contain. They are effective against the same contaminates as the standard models but they also inhibit lime scale formation on surfaces and in pipe work. They do not remove the hard water salts such as calcium and magnesium from the water but keep them in suspension so the healthy minerals are not removed. The calcium, which is considered good for you, remains in the water. This type of filter is usually used in hard water areas for the drinking water as a general filter and on the hard water line that is normally fitted with a water softener system.

Replacing other filter makes:
Our filters can be used to replace other makes of filter as they are available with different fitting sizes for the inlet and outlet connections –normally ¼”, 3/8” or 10mm. Our friendly staff can help you with this if that is a problem.

A pressure protection valve (PLV) should also be fitted in the inlet tube before the filter.
